The Illinois Environmental Council has identified the need to establish a new structure to organize coalition work related to Nature Based Climate Solutions and align that work with the international 30×30 campaign (30% land conservation by 2030) Scientists believe that conserving and restoring 30 percent of the lands and waters worldwide by the year 2030 would spare nature and deflect the worst impacts of climate change. This grant  builds on previous work and funds three community listening sessions and 5-10 environmental tours with local decision makers.
