Targeting Chicago’s green and open space plan, the Trust for Public Land is partnering with organizations to impact North Lawndale. This grant builds on previous investments in the Targeted Chicago-Calument Watershed Natural Solutions Tool which shows the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood as an area of high need for public infrastructure to increase levels of health, equity, and climate resilience. This grant supports engagement of neighbors and stakeholders in the process of preliminary design.
