VCAT is a grassroots program that supports veteran families transitioning out of homelessness by furnishing their new homes with furniture, household goods, and two weeks’ worth of food generously donated by local families and community partners. The team provides veteran peer support while connecting veterans to resources that promote stability and improve quality of life. Employed veterans value the opportunity to give back to their community while gaining mentorship as they transition into the civilian workforce.
