Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) empowers and mentors young adults to succeed through education and training in life skills, career pathways, and environmental stewardship.  At YCC’s Summer Conservation Program (celebrating 50 years in partnership with the Lake County Forest Preserves!)16-18 year old crew members learn skills for future careers in conservation and the green economy, go deeper into environmental education, develop as emerging leaders, receive weekly stipends, and earn college fee scholarships through YCC’s AmeriCorps affiliation.
